Mmm, I thought it might be cold, but this was pretty much public-toilet-IVDU*-stopping blue-white. Kathryn tried it for an evening before declaring that it gave her a headache. On the other hand it was an insanely cheap 'daylight' LED bulb, consisting of an LED array packaged into a vaguely bulb shaped object. I only really picked it up because I was ordering some other items from the same company, saw it and thought 'oh-hey, that'd be cool'. And it was just replacing a single centre lamp in Kathryn's office, which is not ideal. At any rate it's now replaced our hall light...
Tracks would, I'd imagine, be good for a studio. Although you're talking to someone who's hopelessly unartistic. Mind you I'd seriously avoid anything with halogen bulbs of any variety; pretty though they are, they burned out with such frequency in our house in Slough that we actually maintained a stock of about 4 to replace the 8 bulbs that we had kicking around.
