After looking at it for the last nine hours, I'm no longer confident of my ability to spell the word play. Looks a heckuva lot like a random mash of letters - are you sure it isn't Pllae? Playe? Pl3agh-with-a-silent-three?

This last week I went to Trans-Siberian Orchestra with [livejournal.com profile] westrider. Traffic blew and I didn't get as much chatting time with him as I'd have liked, but the show was amazing. All of the bits taken by themselves seem pretty hokey, really, but it an incredibly moving experience. I get the feeling that they sat down and seriously discussed how much was too much and when less might be more, and decided that the answers were nothing and never. Over the top? Impossible! Add more fireworks! Don't know when to stop? I know when to stop - never! Give me nine singers, stat! And SNOW! MAKE IT SNOW, GODDAM IT!

This weekend I got and put up a christmas tree (my own own christmas tree!), and cooked a chicken with minimal catastrophe, and had Tobyn, Derryck, and MLE over for dinners. It was a very lovely adult feeling weekend in which I got nothing done on my list of things to get done.

Amusing quotes from [livejournal.com profile] zair99, [livejournal.com profile] madalchemist, and MLE who doesn't have an LJ, on the occasion of Tobyn poking at a small red spot near the crook of his elbow.
"Tobyn, have you been shooting up?"
"Ye-es!"
"Your aim sucks."

Session tonight. D&D last night. Concert at traditions tomorrow. Doozer's concert thursday. Leaving for portland tuesday afternoon to visit the twins et al. And to think, some people are starting christmas break...

OK, when you've lost the ability to spell 'play', you know you've been staring at it too long. That's rough ;-)
