Oh, Livejournal...

My last post consisted entirely of snippets of conversation at my office.

Go, read the post. It won't take you long.

Now read the third comment.

So, what'd'ya think? Spam, misplaced comment, or a groundbreaking thesis about cow pies and Elvis?

WILL THE WORLD EVER KNOW?

I don't see how that could be any kind of meaningful spam, given that the poster has no posts of their own and doesn't link to anything in the comment.

On the other hand, I can't think of any context where a comment like that would make sense, and someone who can't write something more coherent than that shouldn't be getting anywhere near an actual thesis regardless of topic, so either most ineffective Spam ever or most ineffective trolling ever.

I've gotten tons of comments like that on my wordpress blog. It's a bot. Usually, these things have some kind of link in the "homepage" field that takes you to a porn page or something like that.

I can't find any links of any kind over there, though. It says there's one Post, but I can't see it, it's FLocked or something, no Linklist on the side. Again, if it's Spam, it's one of the most incompetent examples I've ever seen.
