His. There are little tiny front socks, too. :) And he IS a happy cat. Monkey has two ambitions in life: to be round, and to be loved. I try to thwart him in the former; he's totally successful in the latter.
He really is amazingly lovey -- He'll even ask to be lifted up to my shoulder and carted around. :)
He does have a dignified air about him, doesn't he?
I wonder how he manages it, given that he lets his sister suckle on his shoulder, likes belly-rubs, and hid under Derryck's bed crying after a dog visited. And yet... dignified.
Symmetry could well be part of it. I think there's also something in how he moves and holds himself, though. Even when he's doing something ridiculous, he can make it seem dignified.
...and speaking of doing ridiciulous things while looking dignified, last night he got himself shut in a cupboard while I was getting their dinner, and I looked all around the house for him while he was slowly (and quietly) bonking his head on the door until it opened. Three minutes late to dinner -- it's a Monkey record!

...
Which is normal, really, for cats.

Calliope is filled with deep exstitential angst, see, and she tells you about it. At length. With an impressively huge vocabulary.
...occasionally at two a.m.
And she suckles on her brother's shoulder.

At least when he's not tear-assing around with his sister ;)

Perhaps some of it is that he's very symetrical, unlike Eo or Calliope.
