Goodbye, gobs of money!

This is new: I crossed off an item on my sticky to-do list a few weeks early. Quick, fetch me the smelling salts, I've ordered my windows!

Since dad and I finished framing all the windows this weekend, and the window place is willing to hold onto the giant one until I'm ready for it (which'll be after all the drywall's moved in), and my credit card gets double points in august, there didn't seem to be much point in waiting.

Now I have to remember to transfer great gobs of money to my credit card before the 25th, and figure out how to pick up windows in Lacey on Monday (which mostly means borrowing my parents' vehicle, and possibly a parent).

I can relate to the gobs of money drifting (or flying!) out the door - currently there's a builder outside my window (I'm still working from home!!) destroying the crappy old decking as preparation to installing something more to $wife's tastes. We use our credit card as a loan machine 'cos it's cheaper than getting a loan from the bank and we have a huge credit limit (due to a past that involved extended trips overseas on business) which makes it easy to draw down cash and pay it back as we can. Anyway that'll be about 8k to be paid off before we get inundated in offspring and hangers on at Christmas.

Then we can tackle the next stage - rinse, repeat...
