For sexism, I think I made it most of the way through elementary school. Oddly, the really big, "Hey, wait, THIS isn't right!" were some of the things they talked about doing in middle school to encourage girls to study science.
When you suggest a "Girl's Science Class" which focuses on cooking, you're doing it wrong.
But yeah, the last paragraph is really the issue I've been encountering online. People are having arguments past each other, because they don't realize that the kind of -ism A is fighting is actually different from the one B is fighting, but they're both in the same world. (And, y'know, C is actively fighting both of them but using the oddness of evo-psych or something).
It's easier to oversimplify, but I'm trying to be better. Though there are days when I've got that "My head is full, I want to go home," feeling.
