String change
February 8th, 2011 02:59 pmI've not been good about using this as a note-taking tool. My last string-related post says I changed Evahs for Obligatos, but since then I changed out for Evahs again (I preferred the Os, but I had an extra set of Es).
Anyway, I'm putting new Obligatos on.
I bought both an aluminum and a silver wound D, so there'll be some experimentation in the next few days.
Also, message to Fox News: Will you PLEASE stop screaming about your gold-soaked economic appocolypse fantasies? I know you get off on the idea of accumulating a fortune in gold while all the little people perish in the dirt, but some of us use it for IMPORTANT things, like fiddle E strings, and you're making them more expensive!
Seriously. It already cost me the same to replace one string as it cost my Dad to re-string his entire guitar. Now the E alone costs more.
