MightyGodKing versus his adolescent reading habits.

Now, I adore His Dark Materials and ASOIAF and don't put them the same class as the rest, but they were still funny re-titlings.

And yes, I admit to reading rather a lot of "Mary Sue Gets A Dragon" as an adolescent.

Your HTML is Weak! ;)

Also, I love Feist, but MGK's description of it is dead on. His work reminds me of nothing so much as one of the better D&D Campaigns I've played in.

I keep laughing about "The Knights who say Fuck."

Sir, I salute your icon!

Yeah, I found a hardcover copy of Tintin in the Land of the Soviets on clearance for $15 one day, and couldn't pass it up. Then, once I read it, I knew I'd have to make that panel into an Icon. It's one of my favorites.

Hee. I'm a fan of Eddings, but I know that all his series are about the same:
1. Find out that big evil force from the dawn of time threatens everything.
2. Find the Magic Thingy.
3. Defeat the evil force.
4. Get married and start a family.
5. Repeat steps 1-3.

Hee hee! From what I hear, "Characters Show Up" is the best retitling--though I'm much more of a fan of "Remember the First Five Books? Like That." (I also enjoy his other series, "Remember That First Series? Like That.")

Never could get into "Mary Sue Gets A Dragon." Hated all the characters and thus could summon no interest in their plight, and it sort of seemed like a Harlequin Romance in disguise.
