The "Because I dealt with it, anyone can" is another thing I see growing out of the "nobody is worse than anyone else" meme I was talking about on the phone the other day.
It's also one of the reasons I've become rather less of a fan of reflex humility over the last few years: when we think of even the areas where we're most capable as being nothing special, just typical, it leads us to really look down on those who can't do as well or as much as we can. Somewhat ironically, clearing out the "nobody is worse than anyone else" meme from my mind has actually made me more accepting of others.
