In a good way, a good way!

We got up to B'ham in the early afternoon, and Amy ran off to her workshop, so I took Becca downtown for icecream at Mallards and a trek to the Street of Used Books. Of course the black drop is on the way, and so I stopped in for two giant feet-off-the-ground hugs from [livejournal.com profile] duffy61 and [livejournal.com profile] fenmere. It occurs to me that it's not a bad idea to start the people around me competitive-hugging - I can only benefit!

On Saturday I visited the market, hung out at the BS where, as usual, we made lewd asses of ourselves, sketched-away, and drank excellent java from [livejournal.com profile] duffy61. Then Fenmere and I had a nice long chat - I've now sorted out some plans for a working vacation from ButchnSpike. I saw his art and paid to take some home later (I'm looking forward to that).

We went back to the drop, and eventually [livejournal.com profile] crazitalk appeared, as well as Jesse. That meant (who'd have guessed?) even louder, lewder conversation on the streets of bellingham. Mostly about religion. Go figure. Grabbed some dinner and walked back up hill, with a break at red square to pull the fiddle out and play to moonlit red square...which turned into playing to twenty moonlit players of 'Vampire: Masquerade.' And meeting a fiddler.

Sunday - met fiddler for some Klezmer lessons. He gave me a book! He seemed like a nice guy. He had the kind of thankful, generous christianity that I respect even though it still makes me uncomfortable. Afta that, I had a picnic with Rob'n'Terri and found out that Rob's novel has been published, so I bought one and had him sign it (I'll never wash that book!). Seision was a blast as usual, and there ends my tale of B'hamness.

Now I'm at home downloading pictures of animal skulls and toying with the idea of making a dragon out of fimo. I am SO regressing.
