Spent the afternoon working with Dad, prepping to install my new inline bathroom fan tomorrow. Shouldn't have crowed about spending < $20 at home depot yesterday; it was closer to $200 today. We have everything we need, though, and my clever papa thought of making a semi-permanent attic route of OSB for easier Skellington-access (I can walk joist to joist, but with bad joints it's harder to correct and catch myself if I don't hit exactly right).

Then I beta-read for stasia (yay!), Erik made dinner, and I settled down to wine writing. With wine.

If you want to write, it's totally useful to have an SO with experience in areas where you're ignorant. So far, drugs and motorcycles. I <3 my ex-bad boy, really.

For motorcycle info Erik didn't have, I went to youTube!

Result: I know how to hot-wire a motorcycle!

Sounds a bit like $WIFE...

A couple of years ago several of my offspring got together and gave $WIFE a cooking apron for Christmas which was inscribed with

I cook with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the cooking.

She does like her glass of red with the evening meal, quoting "have a little wine for the sake of your digestion" 1 Timothy 5:23 as her scriptural justification.

I don't drink to get drunk and never have, but I do dearly love a glass or two of red. That apron sounds perfect. Alcohol is a must for good cooking, one way or t'other.

I'm drinking a lovely fairly-local (same state) cab, now. My justification is that it's the anniversary of the end of prohibition in the states. Raise your glasses!
