Musical July
August 2nd, 2006 04:03 pmJuly has been a busy month.
FiddleTunes
Hot, slow yard party.
Work.
Dr. Appointments (various)
( Musical accomplishments, meaningless and overly specific for the majority of my readers - both of them. )
Discussion Questions
1. What type of mp3 player should I buy, and why? A voice record feature (for learning tunes) is absolutely essential. I don't really give a rat's hind end about video.
2. How do you genre your digital music? Let's just take it as a given that the 'official' genre is cr*p. Currently (using the official automatic genres) I have a great deal of National and World music. That really narrows it down, doesn't it? What kind of music is it? Music from a nation (based on observation and the narrowmindedness of record companies, we can narrow it down to any nation BUT the US, which actually gets to use REAL genres). I'm leaning towards 'trad' and 'folk.' I hate using Folk for singer-songwriter stuff that is NOT actual music of the folk, but common usage and all that.
