On the first, I agree with you and don't, quite. We're absolutely in agreement about the futility and harmful effects of trying to become 'beings of pure energy,' and in some ways this whole post is a recap of some things we've talked about before. On the other hand, mom and I had this same conversation, and we both agreed that when brain chemistry is off, we DO actually have more negative thoughts, as well as having otherwise normal negativity hang on longer.
Granted, my initial example is very situational, so it doesn't show up more or less often depending on brain chemistry, really, but a lot of other things it's the case.
As for the second, I don't actually find Jane-of-all-trades particularly negative, for me, and I'm definitely a quick enough learner to fake stuff. At some point it'd be nice to move on a little bit in some areas, though!
