I don't know about my brother, but mom and I are actually very cheerful about the whole thing, since it means a small ray of hope for him. In other circumstances I could see how it would be really emotionally difficult, but we're... honestly, we're almost giddy.
And, like I said, if *I* get diagnosed, I have a plan. The plan is to have an Extinction Burst/Binge week in which I eat all my favorite gluteny foods and cry. After that I'll be good to go!
...I'm actually absurdly cheerful about my plan.
EDIT to add: Oh, and dad has decided that his diet plan is "Gluten Free at Home Except For Beer," and flat out refuses to get tested.
