Yea, and it was a token from above, or from below, or verily, from the In-The-Middle; for the bowl, the bowl that presenteth sustenance, the one bowl that I had possesed or that had possesed me, this one rice bowl that cameth from Uwagimaya, the bowl that lasted year upon year in the service of college life, through the ramen times, and the rice times, it has broken.

Clearly, thought I, it is a sign that my college life is soon to be over! And in past times, when I would have cried for the loss of so beloved a bowl, I instead thought unto myself: "Well, that's one less thing to pack."
Jon and Jessamyn of Campbell Road shows up at Archer's tonight after almost a year of absence from the seisiun, 'cause they figured it was about time to graduate at it might be my last time. Warm fuzzy feelings! J & J used to lead the seisiun (as much as anyone did), but they live down in Mt. Vernon and things got hectic, as things will do. They're both a bit reserved but fun, sweet, and good musicians. Jon bought me a celebratory glass of port.
It all got me to thinking about all the wunnerful things my musicers have done over some seven odd years. Oday (spelling? Bouzouki player) bought me a creme brulee at Boundary 'cause he knew I was having the pits of a day. Becky gave me a high five when I bought my first drink-at-a-bar. Josh (Olympia) saying 'Watch out - you're LEGAL!' at my 18th birthday (also in a pub, in Oly). Innumerable rides home from Jon, Jessamyn, Becky, Mary, Gerald, and even creepy-Linda. Singing with Flip, Zeke, Rob, Terri. Flip helped with my bike accident wounds. Playing on an Oly sidewalk a hot, hot summer night, with Anthea & Lawson's little girl Brynn caged by the circle of our feet. *sniffle* IT's all so BEEYOOTEEFUL! Really. At some point I should definitly make a gallery of all my collected musiker drawings, because it really is a spcial thing to be involve din.
