Crazy Quilt-ish thing

I'm not sure how much you can tell about how it's built from the photos. Instead of being pieced edge to edge, each patch is hand-sewn onto a muslin backing. The muslin is cut in triangles so that the final thing will make a stained-glass-ish diamond shape. It's also cotton, not traditional crazy quilt fancy fabric.
It's a shockingly bright rainbow because I live in the pacific northwest, and in the depths of winter we seriously need a color infusion.
