Work is a panacea. I have a new printer to set up, cards to draw, packing to do, a website to code. Mundane tasks continue through a December gone surreal.
Also, it's kind of cool to know that Neil Gaiman has been listening to the same CD I have. This evening's song selection is from an earlier album, but the song Gaiman references is lovely and bitter sweet.
Does anyone have a digital version of "Eleven Saints"? I'd love the song, and I believe the album is no longer released.
So when sleep just won't come,
And you've got no occupation,
But nibbling at the fruit
Of the melancholy tree,
Just hold on to these words,
Hold on to me.
Just hold on to these words,
They're the best I've got to offer
At the moment,
As a lullaby.
