Eat your carbs -
October 17th, 2006 11:42 amIt's time to hibernate, left-coast educated secular-sophisticate style.*
I have a large and growing pile of to-be-read books and a wide variety of projects in the wings, and I can honestly say that I'm looking forward to them. It helps that this weekend I thoroughly cleaned my house, so I have an excellent place to hunker down in. Now if I can keep it clean through three weekends away from home (one in B'ham, two in San Fran), I can look forward to at least two sedentary months.
( I'll be reading... )
( I'll be attempting... )
Have you ever wanted to tell a few people something that was fairly minor, and ended up playing it up so much that the actual information seemed ridiculous? I was going to tell Dad and Doozer about the version 3 release of the genealogy software I use, but somehow it came out sounding like a grand announcement. So I told 'em I was pregnant instead.
*Educated Secular-Sophisticate is a classification I heard and liked on NPR a few years back. Unfortunatley it was followed by "There aren't enough of you to sway an election."
