Wednesday I received my computer power cords, sent through snow and sleet and dark of night by our beloved postal service. After a few breif, intoxicating hours of full computer function, Koheleth had a virtual memory warning, an inescapable freeze, and a complete lack of re-starting-up-ness. Toby's been a darling, and now we know kinda whats wrong, and kinda how we might fix it.

One of the more interesting things is that when you try to boot from the WIN2000 CD, Koheleth shows double. Now, Koheleth, Evan informs me, is the hebrew word for 'philosopher.' Koheleth's box, that is, the peice of plastic encasing all his functioning bits, is a bit obese. With this new development, I am forced to admit that my computer is nothing more than a fat, drunk, jewish philosopher.

Go us.

In other news, poker will be tuesday at 7:00pm, I'm spending friday applying for stupid office-flunky jobs for which I'm way over qualified, and saturday my parents are feeding me and taking me to the Big Bad VooDoo concert - after BS of comics, of course, where I hope to give Fenmere the FRAMED (I found the perfect one) Puritan Work Ethic.
