About..four years ago now, I was taking ice hockey classes and fell, like you do, but I fell on my shoulder. I didn't go see a doctor, just took pain relievers as needed, until it finally got better after a month or two.
Two years later, I started swimming regularly and my shoulder started hurting all the time. I went to the doctor for that, got a referral to an orthopedist...
...and found out I had a partially torn labrum. And the pain right then was because my shoulder was partially out of joint, and oh, yeah, you've worn a groove in the ball of your humerus bone from your scapula rubbing against it all this time.

As for feet...when I was in high school I played center in basketball and spent the entire season with my feet hurting. Because people would jump up for the ball and then land on my feet. There was no visible damage, but it took months to recover from after the season was over, and I wouldn't be surprised if I had bone bruises or tendinitis or something.
So when I read your story? That's what I thought of.
