Yeah! I'm pretty excited some of the time. Other times I can't picture how i get from Here to There, and I stress and wail and flounder about the landscaping that has to happen before permit sign off, but mostly it's gone pretty well and i have a good idea what I need to do next. :)
And not 15 minutes ago, I paid a (distressingly large) sum of money to the State, and now have a permit for the electrical work, as well as everything else. Quite a contrast to the long plan review process of the city. "Eh, describe what you're doing on this web form, give us your credit card number, and you can print out your own permit -- we'll come 'round later to see if you've fried yourself."
