Um... I think some of my characters have been getting it on behind my back.

I mean, that's okay and all, they're grown-ups and they can do whatever they want as long as there's consent and they leave the dog out of it. It's just kind of a suprise.

Wow.

It is SCARY how similar the situation is.

Removing names because I keep hoping to finish a chapter or two, and don't want to screw up first impressions:

A is devoted (platonically, one thought) to B. Enter C. C develops mad crush on B, romance happens, B and C are married.

I had a notion that A and B might have played around a bit, in a young exploratory way, in the past. I hadn't realised that A would fall so hard for C. Or that, cultural mores aside, the very, eh, adventurous nature of B would make the occasional threesome likely.

Exactly. I'm not saying I know for sure, either - they're quite discreet, and if it happens, it's outside the timeframe of the story. But it certainly wasn't something I planned...

I mean, guys? If you're gonna be doing that, be careful, okay? Your society is really, really not permissive at the best of times, and if you get caught...let's just say that the idea of a threesome in these circumstances is raising my bloodpressure.

Is this a comic or novel?

Novel. Well, novel in potentia. I don't call myself a writer because I really don't write very much, but the world, characters, etc. have been living in my head for ages. The last six months have seen a lot of developments, many of them unexpected.

I think there currently exist about 15 pages of actual novel, tops.
